Wobbe Micha: Pas d’objet, Pas de sujet, Pas de Drame, really?
Wobbe Micha started to carve out real watermelons around 2020. These ephemeral sculptures (whether they be towers, waves, or torsos and more bodily incarnations) spoke of queerness, tenderness and were meant to be subsequently cast and glazed.
Over the past years, these ceramics became, if a bit by fatum, highly meaningful and polysemic works, assuming incidentally but very essentially, other meanings. Recognisable, and assumed. Not to be censored. Anywhere, by anybody.
