Galerie Mieke van Schaijk presents: Jack Jaeger, Joke Robaard, Kurt Ryslavy, Kenichi Ogawa and Hussel Zhu at Het Zuid Manifest ‘Carola Loves Carlos’ + Art Rotterdam. Booth L8
The art festival will bring together 40 local and international artists, 20 galleries and institutions on 17 locations in Charlois.
The artworks are placed across everyday spaces in Charlois, from a barbershop, flower shop, sex shop, a stone shop, a vacant store to a theme park under construction.
‘Carola Loves Carlos’ is a program of Rib and is conceived and curated by Maziar Afrassiabi.
“I want to move away from the idea that art must continually produce new objects, brands and claims. Instead, we seek to facilitate a renewed affective experience of encounter, one that speaks for itself. When existing artworks meet a specific setting, something surfaces that was already present in both the work and the location, yet remained unspoken.”
